Gotham already dove deeper into Batman lore to introduce the Court of Owls in Season 2, but we won’t see the nefarious order truly spread their wings until Season 3 arrives this fall. As such, the first Comic-Con 2016 poster for Gotham’s Season 3 return has arrived, bringing a whole new set of masks to the city.

It didn't take long today during the Star Wars Celebration Europe Rogue One panel for Felicity Jones to get a chance to see her very first action figure. While many of us in the collecting world had assumed the protagonist of this winter's first Star Wars film to take place away from the Skywalkers, Hasbro had never confirmed it for certain. It is official now however, and Jyn Erso will join the ranks of the Star Wars Black series when the next wave launches this fall. There's no exact release date for the upcoming wave, which also includes Leia Organa (A New Hope), Sabine Wren and unmasked Kylo Ren (and more), but if last year's Force Friday event in September is any kind of indicator, better mark you calendars for that first Friday now. What's more, Jyn joining this wave makes it the most female-centric Black Series wave since the line launched. There has never been a wave with three female figures in it before, let alone two, so this fall is going to be home to all kinds of firsts.

Starz and Bryan Fuller’s American Gods has gone far enough into production for photos and a first trailer to arrive next week, that we wouldn’t necessarily expect any more significant additions to the cast. Not so, apparently, as comedian Dane Cook has apparently snagged a role in the new series, set to bow in 2017. Yes, Dane Cook.

We recently learned what fans had already suspected, that the character Pom Klementieff is playing in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is none other than Mantis, a character who has been featured prominently in the Guardians comics. But who is Mantis? We still don't know much about what she'll be like in the movie, but she's existed in comics for 43 years, so we know that version of her pretty well. And looking back at her history may give us some insight about what to expect from this new version of the character.

If you've been keeping up with the reboots, relaunches and Rebirths of the DC Universe that we've had over the past few years, then you probably already know that the women who make up the Birds of Prey are very, very different from the way they were a decade ago. Barbara Gordon is the hip young Batgirl who protects Burnside from the threat of evil social media apps, Black Canary's a rock star, and Helena Bertinelli just lost her job as the Matron of a worldwide spy organization based out of a boarding school. With all that said, you could be forgiven for being a little bit lost, but fret no longer, dear reader. When Batgirl and the Birds of Prey: Rebirth hits shelves next week, it'll catch you up on the current status of the team --- starting with Barbara Gordon. Check out a preview below!

If you're a fan of Valiant's Faith --- and you should be, she's great --- then you're in for a pretty good time next Wednesday. Not only does July 20 see the release of the all-new Faith ongoing series from Jody Houser, Pere Perez, Marguerite Sauvage and Colleen Doran, which picks up where the fantastic "Hollywood and Vine" miniseries left off and introduces an all-new supervillain, but we're also going to see her in a pretty significant guest appearance. In A&A: The Adventures of Archer & Armstrong #5, by Rafer Roberts, Mike Norton, and Allen Passalaqua, Faith and Archer are finally going on their first date, and if you thought seeing Archer trying to use emojis was cute, wait'll you see the conversation they have over dinner. Of course, given their night jobs --- and the fact that there's a shady dude watching them over mozzarella sticks --- I'm going to guess that the night might not go as smoothly as they'd like. Matt Kindt is somewhat of Dark Horse's secret weapon these days; leading the charge with hit creator-owned books such as Mind MGMT and Dept. H. In an industry packed with franchise superheroics and licensed properties, Kindt is one of the creators leading the charge with unique concepts and innovative storytelling. That trend is set to continue later this year with the announcement of Ether, a new creator-owned title from Dark Horse which sees Matt Kindt team with artist David Rubin which sees two worlds of science and magic collide for one intrepid explorer.

A hero is defined by their villains, and the world of superhero comic books is filled with some of the scariest and silliest bad guys around. Rogues’ Gallery aims to settle the score and determine who is the true arch-nemesis for some of favorite superheroes, and we need your help to do it! However, this week we're stepping out of the usual status quo to talk about villains in a different context; that being the team of villains coerced into heroic acts by the United States government --- The Suicide Squad
