Sharon Moody Paints Classic Comics From Another Perspective [Art]

There's painting comics and then there's painting comics. Take artist Sharon Moody's trompe l'oeil take on classic Marvel and DC superhero titles like Spider-Man, Fantastic Four and Superman, for example. Rather than going the Alex Ross route and painting comic book stories, the artist is using a photorealistic style to convey the experience of reading a vintage copy of an iconic title. Browsing Moody's gallery will leave you feeling like you've been staring at quality photographs, which is a welcome deception. You can peep a few more of her comic book paintings after the cut.
