The Walking Dead co-creator Robert Kirkman hit ABC's daytime talkshow The View yesterday, where he appropriately filled its Halloween -costumed hosts in on all things zombie while donning some lurker/roamer makeup himself. In addition to giving you and that one aunt of yours who really digs The View something to talk about the next time you see her, Kirkman also got a chance to plug AMC's much-watched TWD series and sort of hit on the new comic companion novel The Rise of the Governor co-written by Jay Bonansinga. The studio audience scored some TWD swag to boot.Kirkman was characteristically calm and collected, patiently answering questions and even explaining the value of the Centers for Disease Control comic, Preparedness 101: Zombie Pandemic. He and host Whoopi Goldberg seemed to hit it off the best on the air, with her agreeing on his noted favorite zombie film, Day of the Dead.

A noted Goldberg fan, Kirkman seemed pretty stoked on Twitter after his View appearance:

See Kirkman's appearance on The View below. We've dropped it in to begin at the beginning of his segment. Because we care.
