A few weeks ago, artist SalBa Combé tickled our tricolor nostalgia with his remake of The Powerpuff Girls intro sequence. He also plays with the visuals from classic NES games, The Dark Knight Rises and He-Man, when he isn't sketching up his very own Mecha Army.

Combé is the art director on the Spanish-language cartoon Jelly Jamm, about a group of friends living on the planet from which all music originates. He posts his Jelly Jamm work, fan art and original artwork on his blog and Tumblr. He also participates in a number of pop culture art shows, including the recent Powerpuff Girls 15th anniversary art tribute extravaganza.
