‘Scribblenauts Unmasked’ Set To Launch With A Full-Length Comic Story
As the only video game that we're likely to get in the forseeable future that includes Arm-Fall-Off-Boy and the KGBeast, Scribblenauts Unmasked is one of my most anticipated releases of the year. Now, though, there's another incentive to get excited about it: When the game comes out this fall, it'll come with a digital comic by Josh Elder and Adam Archer about Batman, Superman and company duking it out with their evil opposites.
Check out the cover, screenshots from the game and more info below!
Elder and Archer's Battle Most Bizarre in which Maxwell, the hero of the Scribblenauts franchise, uses his magic notebook to help out the Justice League in their battle against a gang of Bizarros. As we all know, anyone with the power to write whatever he wants and make it happen controls the destiny of the DC Universe, so it's a good thing Maxwell's a good guy. Probably wouldn't hurt to send him a couple of Scott McCloud books before the game gets released, though.
People who purchase the game will be able to download the comic, either from Steam or DC's digital storefront.
As for the game itself, Warner Bros. Interactive released a few new screenshots today as well. Here's the Throne of Atlantis, which is big enough to explain why they had to do a whole crossover about it:
Frosty aids and abets criminal activity in the streets of Metropolis:
And finally, in a tribute to the game's almost alarming depth, here's a team composed entirely of French characters, including Nightrunner and ze Crimson Fox:
Scribblenauts Unmasked is set for release on the Wii U, Nintendo 3DS (and... 2DS I suppose) and PC on September 24.
