Smut Peddler’s Dirty Double Header is Kickstarted and Coming Soon
C. Spike Trotman's Iron Circus Comics has already successfully funded a newly launched third Smut Peddler Kickstarter, but it's not too late to get in on the rewards. The earlier Kickstarters, in 2012 and 2014, enabled the publication of two Smut Peddler anthologies, adding up to more than 600 pages of porn and erotica comics.
The current Kickstarter project is somewhat different, however. The funding will enable Trotman to publish two new books under the Smut Peddler banner: My Monster Boyfriend and Yes, Roya.
My Monster Boyfriend is a full-color comics anthology featuring monstrous men (and that's literally monstrous, meaning horns and fangs and so forth, not monstrous in the banal, Republican politician sense) and the people of various genders who have sex with them. It features work by E.K. Weaver, Gail Simone, Trudy Cooper, Jess Fink, and many others, as well as a painted cover by Skoptsy.
Yes, Roya is a full-length graphic novel (a first for Iron Circus) about a three-way relationship between two men and a dominant woman, set in the 1960s. It's written by C. Spike Trotman herself, with art by Ghost Green. Here's the official synopsis:
Wylie Kogan is an aspiring artist, stumping for work in 1963 California (think Mad Men, but with palm trees). When a fawning fan letter grants him access to his cartoonist hero, the celebrated Joseph Ahlstrom, he's quick to take advantage of a proffered portfolio review... but winds up learning more than he ever wanted to about Joe when he stumbles across some of his idol's illicit fetish art.
His hasty, ill-considered theft of a drawing triggers a series of events he never planned on... most of which involve Joseph's imposing and resolute wife, Roya.
A 12-page Yes, Roya preview is available on Trotman's web site, and below we've included a 10-page preview of a story from My Monster Boyfriend, "A Winged Man Flew into the Shed" by Noora Heikkilä.
