Square Enix’s ‘Robocop’ Play Arts Kai Figures Blend the Past And The Future [NYCC 2013]

When it comes to giving Robocop a cinematic reboot... not every fan is super stoked -- especially since the original film's amor design is basically discarded in the first trailer. Fortunately when it comes to Square Enix's Play Arts Kai figures based on the franchise, there's a little something for everybody. Not only will the black 2014 Robocop played by Joel Kinnaman be getting a 9" figure, but so too will the classic suit immortalized by Peter Weller. There's also going to be a figure based on the new armor, only sporting the original Robocop's silvery colorways. Each of the figures comes outfitted with multiple hands and Robocop's signature sidearm(s). The pricing and release info has yet to be announced, but they probably won't stray too far from the new Robocop film's February 7, 2013 release date and the usual $80-90 PAK price point.
