If there’s one thing we’ve learned from our years on the Internet, it’s that there’s no aspect of comics that can’t be broken down and quantified in a single definitive list, preferably in amounts of five or ten. And since there’s no more definitive authority than ComicsAlliance, we’re taking it upon ourselves to compile Top Five lists of everything you could ever want to know about comics.
From the earliest days of comics, there have been characters who performed heroic deeds. Whether they use spells or sleight of hand, this week we're saluting five of the very best magic heroes.
A hero is defined by their villains, and the world of superhero comic books is filled with some of the scariest and silliest bad guys around. Rogues’ Gallery aims to settle the score and determine who is the true arch-nemesis for some of favorite superheroes, and we need your help to do it!
The Avengers have a storied history and has picked up many fierce enemies over the years -- and even absorbed more than a few from other heroes and teams. The team are famous for facing the foes no single superhero can withstand, but which Avengers enemy is the greatest of them all? We need your vote to find out!

Previously I told you about Marvel's five worst events, but this week, instead of laughing at their failures; I'm going to applaud their greatest storytelling successes! This week we're looking at some of the very best Marvel Comics events!
Devilishly handsome. Magnificently deviant. Criminally charming. Loki is many things, and now you can count stunning masterpiece among the superlatives bandied about when discussing the Marvel Cinematic Universe's trickster god. Thanks to Sideshow Collectibles, fans of Tom Hiddleston's incarnation of the character will soon be able to swoon over a premium format figure of the blue-eye mischief maker. Teased earlier this year, the large-scale statue is a tremendous piece of work, and one that captures the danger and attraction all at once.
Captured in his guise from the first Avengers film, Loki is presented in his horned helm and traditional deep green garb. The lengthy fabric cape is a brighter shade, and complements the dark, leather-like pants and jacket trimmed in gold. There's a lot of terrific detail in the figure itself, including some outstanding texturing throughout the sleeves and chest. I don't know who does Loki's tailoring, but the facsimile job Sideshow does in on point.
Now that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 3 has kicked off the Inhuman invasion with a bang, and Jessica Jones busts up enough bars to cross Daredevil’s radar, Marvel TV has never stood taller against its cinematic brethren. Crossovers haven’t exactly been a two-way street however, even as Kevin Feige calls it “inevitable,” with a kingly big bad in mind for our new Spider-Man.
Last year, Good Smile released a trio of Avengers figures based on the 2012 film, The Avengers. While Iron Man, Captain America and Thor made some impressive (and expensive) Figmas, it seemed as if the line would end with just those three holding down the fort. Now, more than a year after those figures were announced, Good Smile is back with what could be the largest Figma ever produced to date.
The Avengers Movie Hulk Figma isn't exactly a timely release. The character's look has changed ever so slightly in the years since that film debuted, and there are plenty of Avengers: Age of Ultron versions currently still available. However, this Hulk is part of the Figma brand, which brings its own fanbase along with it. Additionally, even though the other Avenger Figmas also arrived a few years after the film, they were still rather popular. That's what happens when you have a history of strong sculpts, great articulation and a decent amount of accessories (when applicable).
If yesterday’s Marvel TV panel closed the gap on Comic-Con 2015’s lack of movies, Marvel’s upcoming animation slate might well pave over it. Preview the animated Guardians of the Galaxy, along with Marvel’s Avengers: Ultron Revolution and Ultimate Spider-Man Vs. The Sinister 6 by our full panel coverage!
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. successfully brought the MCU to the small-screen, but did you know that the Avengers-adjacent series shares DNA with both Skyfall and Mission: Impossible? That’s just one piece of Level 7 intel from the fourteenth episode of ‘You Think You Know TV?,’ which assembles its own Marvel-ous team for ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.!
