‘The Flash’ Sees a Whole Lot of Red in New Season 3 Poster
The Flash likely has the most questions to answer of any CW series returning this fall, but is the latest poster for his October 4 return giving anything up? Well, a lot of red, as a new look at Season 3 is – I’ll say it – pretty Flash-y looking.
Somebody must have spilled a can of soda on the color key, as The Flash looks redder than ever in the Scarlet Speedster’s official Season 3 poster, almost Alex Ross-like. It’s about as red as fans have always wanted of The CW costume, but early photos of Season 3 have Barry rocking the same old dark red suit.
In the meantime, so reads the October 4 premiere synopsis:
Barry (Grant Gustin) is living his dream life – his parents are alive, he’s asked Iris West (Candice Patton) on a date and he can finally be a normal guy as Central City has another speedster, Kid Flash (Keiynan Lonsdale), running around saving the city. When Barry starts forgetting parts of his old life, the Reverse Flash (guest star Matt Letscher) taunts his nemesis and tells him that there will be serious repercussions for Barry and the ones he loves if he continues to live in this alternate universe. In addition to losing his memories, his powers will also start to fade. When disaster strikes, Barry must decide if he wants to continue to live in this world as Barry Allen or return to his universe as The Flash.
So far of The Flash Season 3, we know Harry Potter star Tom Felton has signed on as a series regular, while Tom Cavanagh has confirmed his return, along with Violett Beane as his daughter Jesse. John Wesley Shipp will also return as the Earth-3 Jay Garrick, joining new additions Grey Damon as Mirror Master, Ashley Rickards as The Top, Joey King as Magenta and Saw big bad Tobin Bell voicing Dr. Alchemy. Keiynan Lonsdale also has his own Kid Flash costume in the new timeline, while Kevin Smith has been confirmed to direct the seventh hour, and two episodes will take us to Gorilla City.
We’ll have more on Season 3 of The Flash soon, but take a look at the footage and photos below, and stay tuned for the October 4 premiere!
