Too Much Coffee Man Gets Just Enough Coffee Mug

When you've got a comic strip character that goes by the name of Too Much Coffee Man, and you're looking for a way to monetize said character with ancillary merchandise, a coffee mug kind of seems like a no-brainer, right? Right.

BOOM! Town, the recently announced new imprint out of BOOM! Studios, is apparently hip to the abovementioned idea, as they are giving Too Much Coffee Man his very own animated coffee mug. That's right, it's animated. If you don't believe me, just check out what TMCM's creator, Shannon Wheeler, said in the product's official press release:

"It animates when you put hot coffee into it!"

See, I told you! But, truthfully, I'm not really sure how well it's going to work. Those hot/cold temperature changing picture doo-hickeys never got my blood pumping, not even the old Joker figure from Tim Burton's Batman days. Still, I don't think I'd be getting this mug for the animation anyway - just the idea of sporting that "Death Before Decaf" slogan as I sip my morning cup of joe is enough to sell me.
