I know that not everybody is into the 'X-Men' cartoon from the 90s, and I can understand why -- there's a lot of cheesy dialogue, chopping plotting and blah blah blah. I don't care. The 'X-Men' cartoon was what got me into comics, period. I was 11 years old, and every single Saturday I had a whole ritual that involved eating chocolate chips and watching 'X-Men' and screaming bloody murder at anyone who interrupted this process. If it wasn't for the 'X-Men' cartoon, I wouldn't have gone to the comic book store to buy my first comic ('X-Men' #21), loved it even though it made absolutely no sense (in the context of the cartoon or otherwise), and gotten hooked anyway.

Which brings me to the news that the first two seasons are out on DVD, the first episode is now free online, and I'm rewatching it now, with absolutely no objectivity at all:
