The renewals, pickups and cancellations are flying fast and furious at ABC, but Marvel fans have nothing but good news ahead. Not only will Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. return for a Season 3 this fall, but fan-favorite Agent Carter will suit up for a second season in 2016!

Few details are available for the moment, though it seems likely that Agents will return with the full 22 episodes, while Carter will probably stick with eight as a midseason replacement. There had been some concern over the period drama’s survival, given the relatively low ratings, though Marvel clearly knows a hit when they see one.

Elsewhere, we’ve yet to hear about either the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spinoff, or the untitled project with John Ridley. Ridley’s American Crime was also among the pickups for an additional season, which could potentially affect availability.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will air its second season finale this coming Tuesday, while prior talk of Agent Carter futures have included time-jumps for Peggy (Hayley Atwell), and further exploration of the events leading up to The Winter Soldier. Celebrate the Agents renewals, and stay tuned for the latest on Marvel TV!
