Insane Ben Templesmith Signing Video by Zeus Comics Promotes Creator, Evil Trees

When you're running a comic book store that's got a big event coming up and you want to promote it, there are a lot of different routes you can go with. And if you're Richard Neal, owner of Zeus Comics in Dallas, Texas, you go with the most awesome option possible:

Zeus, the real-life store behind the fictionalized web series "The Variants," will be hosting a signing with "Choker" and "Fell" artist Ben Templesmith on April 3, and to spread the word, they've released a promo on YouTube designed to out-monster-truck even the most amazing local business commercials:

The tongue-in-cheek nature of the ad means most of what's promised won't actually be at the shop -- nachos are a maybe and the Bouncy Castle is right out, but I'm still holding out hope for ComicsAlliance favorite Man-Leia -- but the Evil Trees* alone are almost enough to make me want to drive down to Texas and check it out myself.
