Captain America: Civil War will be the cinematic incarnation of those early morning debates you used to have with your friends: which superhero would win in a fight? We’ve known that the main plot of the film would find Chris EvansSteve Rogers facing off against Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man and that the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe would be torn between them, but now we know where those fractures lie. So, who is Team Captain America and who is Team Iron Man?

Naturally, those who are shy around spoilers may not want to read any further. Although there are no actual plot revelations here, knowing which Avenger sides with who could actually be a surprise in the actual film. So, you know, be cautious and be safe and so on.

According to a scoop over at Heroic Hollywood, the two sides in the MCU’s Civil War will fall like this:

Team Captain America: Hawkeye, Falcon, Bucky/Winter Soldier, Ant-Man and Scarlet Witch.

Team Iron Man: Vision, Black Widow, War Machine and Spider-Man.

Thor will be elsewhere, dealing with problems that will be more clearly showcased in Thor: Ragnarok. Black Panther, making his big screen debut, will be a neutral party. And if rumors are to be believed the Hulk (or at least Bruce Banner) may pop up in some capacity.

Some of these team members are obvious. Of course Falcon and Winter Soldier would side with their best buddy! And we already got a clue where Ant-Man would go in the ending credits of his own movie. As for Hawkeye, he’d have to be on the same team as Ant-Man so this can happen:

Iron Man’s team is a little smaller, but this team also has two men in powerful robot suits, so it all balances out in the end. Tony also has Vision in his corner, which makes sense since they’re a weird father/son duo. Black Widow is the big surprise here and we doubt Cap will take her decision to join Team Iron Man lightly. That leaves Tom Holland’s brand new Spider-Man. Who knows what’s up with that guy. However, it should be noted that in the Civil War comic, Spidey starts on Iron Man’s side before deciding to side with Captain America in the end.

Although Heroic Hollywood has a solid track record, these line-ups should probably be viewed with a shade of skepticism until we hear something official. Plus, various plot twists may lead to both sides being shaken up. In any case, make your bets now — which team is going to have the edge in the coming brawl? And which team are you on?
