Frank Miller Hasn't Seen 'Daredevil,' Hates Season 2 Elektra

Marvel’s Netflix Daredevil sought to right prior adaptations with smaller focus on the character’s comic history, leaving Season 2 to tackle more recognizable foes like Punisher and Elodie Yung’s Elektra. That said, Elektra creator Frank Miller isn’t terribly pleased with Netflix’s adaptation, despite not having seen Daredevil Season 1.

Granted, comic artist Frank Miller has long proven polarizing, between series like Sin City, or more topically divisive work like The Dark Knight III, the well-known comic figure had little to say of Marvel’s Netflix series at Brazil CCXP. Answering fan questions, Miller remarked that he hadn’t yet partaken of Netflix’s adaptation, even as Charlie Cox‘s famous black suit was derived from an early Miller idea.

Not only that, but Miller downplayed the coming 2016 season’s effort to introduce Yung as Miller’s creation Elektra Natchios, saying “they can call it whatever you want, but it will not be the real Elektra.” Protectively, the author also added “Yes, I’m her father.”

Elsewhere of Daredevil Season 2, we know for sure that Rosario Dawson has been confirmed to reprise her role as Claire Temple, along with Scott Glenn’s Stick. In addition to Elodie Yung’s Elektra and Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, past Bullseye reports listed Marvel’s Mister Fear and Spider-Man villain Mysterio as potential villains for the season as well, though no confirmations have emerged. Drew Goddard remains aboard as a consultant, though the series has changed showrunners from Steven DeKnight to Marco Rodriguez and Doug Petrie.
