You Will Never Need Another Toy in Your Life as Much as This Nendoroid Tracer
For all the delight fans have gotten from Blizzard's Overwatch, there's been very little in the way of collectibles to show your appreciation outside of the game itself. Though a few Funko Pops have made the rounds, and some blind box figures are just now hitting the market, no true action figures from the amazingly designed world of Overwatch have been released. Thankfully, the good people over at Good Smile have managed to ignite hope where once there was none.
Coming this summer will be a Nendoroid based on Overwatch's "mascot" Tracer. The adorable British hero will be bringing her style and charm to the chibi world, and could just be the tip of the Overwatch Nendoroid iceberg.
Now before we get ahead of ourselves thinking about all the possibilities an Overwatch Nendroid line could present, let's just focus on the one character we absolutely know is actually coming. Tracer will come in her default hero costume, which Good Smile calls her "classic skin" edition. The bomber jacket with bright yellow tights and orange goggles have made Tracer an immediately recognizable character no matter what form she takes, and that's just as true here. Good Smile's done a great job bringing the cheeky hero to chibi form, and once has to wonder if Overwatch's own chibi-inspired sprays may have played some part in making the transition so smooth.
Tracer will come with her two blaster pistols as well as the pulse bomb that frequently leads to our deaths in-game. The rest of her accessories include two different facial expressions, both of which capture her personality quite well, and an electric effect that emulates her time-warping abilities. Two different hair pieces give her distinctly different vibes, with one better suited for motion poses, and the other clearly meant for stoic stances. In true Nendoroid form, she'll also come with a figure stand so you can put her in some dynamic poses on display.
The Overwatch Tracer Nendoroid is available for pre-order now for ~$50-60 from a number of import sites. Fingers crossed Pharah and Mercy aren't far behind.
