‘Gotham’ Season 3 Officially Gets Batman Beginning Another Year
FOX’s Gotham has delved even deeper into Batman’s beginnings in recent weeks by the additions of Mr. Freeze, Hugo Strange and more, while li’l Bruce Wayne and Gordon’s journeys are only just beginning. FOX has officially renewed its Bat-prequel drama for a third season, airing this fall.
The network announced the news late Wednesday night, presumably ahead of certain other FOX renewals, as we’ve seen with early orders in recent weeks. It isn’t exactly a surprise, Given Gotham Season 2 has averaged nine million viewers per week in different platforms.
Says FOX of their Gotham Season 3 order:
For the past two seasons, Bruno [Heller], Danny [Cannon] and John [Stephens] have masterfully honored the mythology of Gotham and brought it to life with depth, emotion and memorable high drama. This incredibly talented cast has redefined these iconic characters for a new generation, and we couldn’t be more proud of this show.
Gotham will return this coming Monday with “Mad Grey Dawn,” setting Pee-Wee star Paul Reubens to reprise his Batman Returns role as Oswald Cobblepot’s father, previews of which you can find below.
In the meantime, where might Gotham go in Season 3?
