All this month, to mark the imminent release of Avengers: Age of Ultron, we've been asking you to vote for your favorite, best, greatest Avengers members from the 100+ heroes who have signed up over the years. Now we're down to the quarter finals, and your pick of the very best. Four of these heroes will go on to tomorrow's semi-finals, and the big-two will face off in time for the movie's North American release.

Are there any surprises in these quarter finals? Well, all of the original movie Avengers made it this far in the voting, including the Hulk, who is both a founding member and a guy who took a fifty-year absence from the team. Two of the new Age of Ultron recruits also made the cut, former partners Vision and the Scarlet Witch, the latter of whom bumped out her own brother, Quicksilver, from the contest.

The final 12 also includes three future movie Avengers, including Captain Marvel and Black Panther, whose solo movies are three long years away, and comics' former Falcon, Sam Wilson, who just barely edged out Spider-Woman to grab his place. (Previous polls are still open, so we use the results that are reported at the time of writing; Jessica Drew could have just as easily grabbed the final spot.)

Only one of the top 12 does not have a movie equivalent, and that's founding member Janet Van Dyne, aka The Wasp, who beat her sometime partner Hank Pym --- the other remaining founding member --- for this slot. Marvel Studios may not love the winsome Wasp, but she still has a lot of fans here.

Our sorting algorithm has kept the big three of Thor, Steve and Tony apart, but it threw three women together; Carol, Wanda, and Jan. On the one hand, it's a shame that one of them has to knock out the other two. On the other hand, it guarantees at least one Avengers woman will make the semi-finals. Maybe two, if Black Widow makes a stand. Can she do it? That's up to you to decide.

You have until tomorrow to pick a winner. Only the top Avenger goes through, and you can vote once per hour.
