Let's face it: When it comes to the Green Lantern corps, Hal Jordan is probably not the most creative dude with his constructs in the bunch. That's not a huge problem in terms of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment's upcoming Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters videogame, though. Fans of digital fisticuffs will likely be happy to slay evil robots with giant green fists, baseball bats, swords and even a jet from the looks of things. As seen in new game images from WB, sometimes, it seems, going with what you know Hal Jordan knows is just dandy. Scope the new screen shots after the jump. The new images are from either the PlayStation3 or Xbox 360 versions of Rise of the Manhunters and portray Hal Jordan and Sinestro dispatching a few different flavors of The Guardians' original rogue robotic space cops. From the looks of things, they're winning.

Out June 7, the game will feature more than 12 constructs, meaning this is probably just the tip of the iceberg. Who knows? Maybe there'll be a space iceberg construct to sink space ships with? Since players will have the option of playing as Sinestro, that mean-spirited technique might actually be plausible. Something tells me game writer Marv Wolfman probably stuck with functional ideas, though.
