Finn Jones Confirms ‘Iron Fist’ Has Wrapped Filming [NYCC 2016]
Marvel’s Netflix production can be a tough nut to crack, with Luke Cage filming near of a year before its premiere, while Jessica Jones had far less lead time. We caught our first look at Iron Fist in April, and now only hours from New York Comic-Con, Finn Jones confirms production has wrapped.
The once and future Danny Rand shared as much in a new Instagram video, noting that he’d barely have time to sleep before heading to New York Comic-Con to promote the series in a panel later today. We’ve seen a few new looks at the character in comic tie-ins, though it appears Jones’ Danny Rand will keep a certain facial hair the whole way through:
Now set for a March 2017 premiere, so reads the Iron Fist synopsis:
Returning to New York City after being missing for years, Daniel Rand fights against the criminal element corrupting New York City with his incredible kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.
Elsewhere, following the addition of Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing, Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth, Jessica Stroup as Joy Meachum and David Wenham as Harold Meachum, past breakdowns also suggested Iron Fist would cast the roles of Shang Chi and “Steel Serpent.” Scott Buck will showrun Iron Fist, while reports suggested Jessica Jones writer Scott Reynolds will also have a hand on the creative side.
Iron Fist will still likely reveal more at New York Comic-Con today, so stay tuned for the latest as it arrives.
