‘Jessica Jones’ Faces David Tennant’s ‘Purple Man’ in Best Teaser Yet
Marvel’s Netflix Jessica Jones teasers have kept a lighter tone, showcasing our favorite down-and-out superheroine drunkenly brawling through Hell’s Kitchen, smashing alarm clocks and returning to work, but the latest finally gives us a taste of the big bad. David Tennant’s Zebediah Kilgrave haunts Jessica Jones in the latest teaser, and subsequently your dreams!
We don’t see the villain’s face in live-action (although hello, Krysten Ritter!), though the so-called “Purple Man” makes his presence known in the latest Jessica Jones teaser, taunting her memory as she assembles evidence on an Alias Investigations wall. Also unclear is if we’re seeing any actual footage, or rather material specifically shot for the promo:
Jessica … I know your secrets. I know about your friends … about your gifts. Jessica Jones … I know everything.
So reads Marvel’s official Jessica Jones synopsis:
After a tragic ending to her short-lived super hero stint, Jessica Jones is rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases involving people with extraordinary abilities in New York City.
Premiering all 13 episodes on November 20, Marvel’s Jessica Jones features Krysten Ritter in the title role, along with Mike Colter as Luke Cage, David Tennant as Zebediah Kilgrave, Rachael Taylor as Patsy “Hellcat” Walker, and Carrie-Ann Moss as the mysterious “Harper”. Run creatively by Melissa Rosenberg, the series also features in recurring roles Eka Darville as Jessica’s neighbor, Erin Moriarty as a client, and Wil Traval as a police officer, while Rosario Dawson has been confirmed to reprise her role as Claire Temple.
