We enjoyed 2000 AD's cheeky salutation to Marvel Comics as the superhero publisher enters the world of weekly comics, as announced recently at South By Southwest. But as the promo above correctly indicates, 2000 AD's been at the weekly comics game for 36 years and maybe everybody should just calm down a bit. Fair point to 2000 AD, whose next issue -- or "prog," as they're called -- begins four brand new serials by creators including D'Israeli (Lazarus Churchyard, SVK), Ian Edginton (Victorian Undead), Neil Googe (Wildcats) and Michael Carroll (Jennifer Blood). It's the perfect jumping-on point for those of you curious about this enduringly popular science fiction institution. Prog 1824 goes on sale next Wednesday in finer comics shops and digitally from the 2000 AD app and digital comics store.
