Kids are heading back to school, the leaves are fading into twilight and the summer winds are no longer coming in. That can only mean it's time once again for a deluge of Star Wars toy reveals. September has become the annual home for big Star Wars news now, and with Force Friday 2.0 coming in a few short weeks, that means every company in the world is jockeying for your hard-earned space bucks.

We were teased with some of the upcoming releases earlier this week, but today Lego announced its first wave of planned sets from the upcoming Star Wars film, Rogue One.

This upcoming wave offers some good variation in vehicles, offering sets from $30 to $80. Nothing quite as pricey as The Force Awakens Millennium Falcon this time around. Most importantly, most of the new sets offer entirely new vehicles that we haven't seen in the Star Wars series before. The AT-ST is about the only vehicle that is a repeat, and it makes up for that with some new minifigures for upcoming characters. The most notable and interesting characters get the buildable figure treatment, with Jyn, K-2SO and the Death Trooper joining those ranks later this month.

Though not part of the official Rogue One releases, Lego will also be re-releasing the Death Star Ultimate Collector set. The Death Star has been retired for a few years, but makes for a timely resurgence ahead of Rogue One's release. The set has added an additional 200 bricks and three minifigures, and will run you $499.99. It too will be available on Force Friday 2.0 for the "first" time.

The Lego Star Wars Rogue One sets will be available starting on Force Friday, Sept. 30 along with a litany of other Rogue One goods.
