Minimates Roundup: ‘ThunderCats’ And The Fantastic Four [SDCC]

San Diego Comic-Con is always a big show for Diamond Select Toys and Art Asylum's various Minimates lines, with exclusive sets usually available at multiple booths. DST and its retail partners didn't just move units last week, though, they also debuted upcoming Fantastic Four Marvel Minimates and gave a first look at new ThunderCats Minimates. An assortment of Fantastic Four characters will be available in various configurations this January, with two-packs going for $8.99 a pack. Joining new versions of Mr. Fantastic, the Human Torch and the Invisible Woman will be first-time figures of Puppet Master, Blastaar and a Moloid. Meanwhile, DST and Icon Heroes' new ThunderCats line will triple its cast of characters with the upcoming release of two additional box sets. The second box set will include TCats baddies like Slithe, Jackalman, Monkian, Vultureman and Wolfrat. ThunderCats box set number three will include heroes like Cheetara, Tygra, WilyKit, WilyKat and one of the Robear Berbils.

Interestingly, the TCats Minimates are fairly compatible with Icon Heroes' various Cat's Lair and Thundertank polystone statues, giving fans some cool display options. Check out all the upcoming Minimates from the SDCC floor below.
