While the full cast of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic have been up to Moon-based shenanigans over in their ongoing series, they're also galloping through solo adventures in the pages of the My Little Pony Micro-Series. It's been a series of one-shot adventures where Twilight Sparkle has dealt with an agoraphobic novelist, Rainbow Dash has slugged it out with weather goblins, and now, it's Pinkie Pie's turn.

And having scoped out a preview, I can confirm that Pinkie's adventure is based around one of the best jokes of the series so far. Check it a preview!

If you've read Watchmen -- or seen the original 1892 opera Pagliacci, made famous by Cesar Romero in the '60s -- then you already know where this is going, and it is a delight. I am super stoked for all the kids reading this who are about to have their minds blown with questions of existential dread, which are then immediately mended by Friendship.

My Little Pony Micro-Series #5 releases next Wednesday, June 19 with a cover price of $3.99!
