By way of processes and talent that we will never, ever understand, musician Jason Sturgill has recorded a beautiful orchestra-style version of the theme from the 1990s animated series, X-Men. Composed by Ron Wasserman, the original version was a guitar-heavy affair that fit well with the animated Marvel-style action, while Sturgill's orchestral arrangement is more suspenseful and dramatic, and perhaps exposes some of Wasserman's debt to the classic Perry Mason theme.

Sturgill's also recorded an orchestral arrangement of Guile's theme from Street Fighter II, which you can hear after the jump.

Based in Louisville, Kentucky, Jason Sturgill has recorded a number of original compositions in addition to his geeky recreations. You can hear more of his music at Band Camp or Soundcloud.
