Super7 Releases ‘Street Fighter II MUSCLE’ Figures
I cannot tell you how many hours of my life have been spent staring at eBay and seriously weighing the pros and cons of dropping a not insignificant chunk of money on a full set of MUSCLE figures. Somehow, against all odds, I missed out on them the first time they came around back in the '80s, even though pocket-sized super-powered pro wrestlers are pretty much all I want out of toys. But every time, with a heavy heart, I have decided to step away and not buy them all --- or the similar Monster In My Pocket figures that make a very tempting set by virtue of featuring both Dracula and the Beast of Revelation.
Now, though, I don't know if I can resist any longer. In what appears to be an effort to wear me down to the point where I just automatically hand them money, Super7 has released a line of figures that (officially) mash up MUSCLE with Street Fighter II, and they're available to order today.
The Street Fighter line joins Alien and Masters of the Universe in Super7's revival of the MUSCLE line, with a roster of 12 of the World Warriors from the classic Capcom video game. Currently priced at $6 for each set of three figures, they're broken up into four sets: M. Bison, Ryu, and Vega; Ken Dhalsim, and Balrog; Guile, Sagat, and Blanka; and Zangief, Chun-Li, and E. Honda.
There's also a complete set on offer for $24.
For more information and higher-resolution pictures of the sets, head over to Super7's website --- and be sure to tell them that the world needs Sakura.
