Despite a propensity to brood, the best vampire slayers live (and sometimes die) by the words of the Beatles and get by with a little help from their friends. Buffy had the Scooby Gang, Blade had the Nightstalkers and Van Jensen and Dusty Higgins' vampire-slaying version of Carlo Collodi's Pinocchio has six new wooden pals from The Great Puppet Theater. SLG began teasing the colorful cast of this October's "Pinocchio: Vampire Slayer and the Great Puppet Theater" prior to Comic-Con, but now viewers can learn more about the nose-growing boy's slayer brethren in the publisher's official video trailer for the title.Billed by SLG as having, "more action, more lies and more puppets than any other comic you will read this year!" the trailer sheds some light on Pinocchio's adventures in this, his second volume of slayage. Fans are guaranteed a closer look at Higgins' renditions of puppet compatriots Flavio, Isabella, Il Capitano, Harlequin, Columbina and Punchinello, but will definitely want to stick around until the end of the trailer to get their very first glimpse of the comic's pirate-infused plot.
