With San Diego Comic-Con basically on top of us, it's time once again for the annual Star Wars Black Series fan vote. After the success of 2015's first annual event, it makes perfect sense for Hasbro to return down this road once more. After a week or so of lead-up wherein fans could submit nominees on a number of Star Wars and collectible websites, the final six were narrowed down to a variety of characters from all over the Star Wars Universe. Now it's time to choose which of them is worthy enough of getting their own 6" action figure.

This year, your options for the fan vote are:

Darth Talon

The Twi'lek Sith from the Star Wars: Legacy comics is a formidable foe, to be sure. As Darth Krayt's Sith Lady, she was always causing havoc for Cade Skywalker. She's a bad-ass and a powerful Sith. Talon is also a favorite among cosplayers, but she also falls into that perilous trap of being designed for the purpose of selling comics, hence the thigh-highs and tube top.

Starkiller (Galen Marek)

Another Expanded Universe character that's been retconned out of existence, Starkiller was the secret apprentice to Darth Vader in the time before the Battle of Yavin. Incredibly powerful with the Force, Starkiller was able to do things like pull an entire Star Destroyer from orbit in games like The Force Unleashed. He's got a cool look, but he's also had a few figures released in the past which makes him a less than immediate need.

Jaina Solo

In the original expanded universe, Han and Leia didn't just have one child, they had twins. Jacen and Jaina Solo were gifted Force wielders in their own right, but Jaina was the only one of the two to not fall to the Dark side. She eventually has to kill Jacen, who became the Sith Darth Caedus (hey, Disney kept that part kind of), and continues to serve the Jedi Order until the EU is dismantled. She too has had action figures in the past, but it would be nice to get an updated take in 6" form.

Captain Rex

Captain Rex rules. The former Clone Army commander from the Star Wars: Clone Wars animated series is still kicking ass and taking names on Star Wars Rebels, albeit in a much pudgier form. Dude still has it though. The version in the fan vote is the Clone Wars incarnation, and I can't think of a single reason why you shouldn't vote for him other than we've already had a few Clone soldiers in the Black Series.

Mara Jade

This expanded universe character (is there a theme this fan vote or what?) has long been a favorite of Star Wars aficionados, and not just because she eventually married Luke Skywalker. Mara Jade was a great character in her own right, and hit just about every possible button on the fandom scale she could to earn her place in fans' hearts. After serving as the Emperor's Hand, she was a smuggler who eventually became a Jedi Master. A redemption story coupled with a Han Solo-esque type with Jedi powers? You can't go wrong.

Dengar

You can never have too many bounty hunters, and the world needs more of them to balance out the massive amount of Boba Fett/Jango Fett figures out there. We recently got a Bossk and an IG-88 figure in the Black Series, so we're just a Dengar, Zuckuss and 4-LOM away from having the six major hunters of the Star Wars Universe. Dude went toe-to-toe with Chewbacca and lived. That's figure worthy. Dengar deserves your vote. He needs your vote. Don't let Dengar down. Don't let Darth Talon win. Vote Dengar.

You can vote now over on StarWars.com, and votes will be tabulated up until 12PM PST on July 22. You can only vote once however, so make sure you pick the right person (Dengar) and not the wrong one (Darth Talon).

Directly after voting ends, the winner will be announced at the SDCC Hasbro Star Wars panel for all the world to know.
