Star Wars Toy Lets You Move Objects with Brainwaves
Well, this is just a whole new level of crazy. A Star Wars toy called The Force Trainer is on its way to market; it uses a wireless headset to read your brainwaves, and makes a ball rise and fall in accordance with your level of concentration, as though you were using The Force. You can watch the editor of Geekanerd use it here.
This is 1) awesome and 2) the first use of brainwave technology in a toy, or possibly any commercial product. A similar technology was also used by that guy who Tweeted with his brain, and I'm guessing this is all only the beginning of commercial brainwave products. The toy will be available in toy stores -- and since it just showed up in the recent Previews catalog, some comics shops -- this fall. I kind of want one.
