Flash fans have known for some time that Kevin Smith would direct an upcoming Season 2 episode, though response was somewhat less enthusiastic when Smith teased Jay and Silent Bob co-star Jason Mewes on set beside him. Now, Smith confirms that Mewes at least will appear in the May outing, though not quite hanging outside of Jitters.

Kevin Smith directing an episode of The Flash is a notable enough event that we’d expect the Askewniverse director to leave his personal stamp, and a new tweet suggests he might leave two. Jason Mewes has been observed on The Flash set, so might Jay and Silent Bob stand vacantly in a parking lot while Barry Allen whizzes by?

As with most of his films, reception to news that The Flash had hired Kevin Smith to direct an outing proved decidedly mixed, but another comic name may help steer the course. X-Men: First Class writer Zack Stentz will pen the upcoming Flash episode, which has already entered production.

Any DC fan worth their salt well remembers that fan-favorite Kevin Smith came very close to bringing us a newer, weirder Superman, but now Smith has his eye on a different Justice League-r. Smith will direct an episode of The Flash down the line, if you wanted to see what Jay and Silent Bob thought of the Arrow-verse.

A new clip from The Death of Superman Lives: What Happened? features never before seen footage of Nicolas Cage’s costume test in which the actor wears a version of the Superman suit.

Back in February, digital book subscription service Scribd made the rather surprising announcement that it would start offering comics from publishers including Marvel, Valiant, IDW, Boom and others in its $8.99 per month subscription, making it a sort of Netflix for comics (as well as books). Now, Scribd is promoting the actual Netflix's new Daredevil series by recommending some of the comics on its service that can best introduce readers to the character. If a rumor from The Wrap reporter Jeff Snider is to be believed, Marvel Studios and DC Entertainment could soon have competing, craggy-faced, evil space gods appearing in their films very soon. Thanos has already made one appearance in a Marvel film, and his voice actor for Guardians of the Galaxy, Josh Brolin has been announced. Now, Snider reports that none other than Darkseid, the seeker of Anti-Life and the villain that simply "is," will be the big bad of the planned Justice League film, which is said to be coming out in May 2017.
