Is An All-New Wolverine Coming To 'Wolverine 3'?
According to SuperHeroHype, a very exciting character may be making her live action debut in next year's Wolverine 3. The film focuses on a team-up between Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier, but SuperHeroHype has apparently heard (although they stress it hasn't been confirmed) that the story also introduces Laura Kinney, the young female clone of Logan who currently holds the name and costume of Wolverine in the comics.

100 X-Men: Warpath, Wolverine, Karma, Squid Boy And Legion
Who are the greatest ever X-Men? Over the coming weeks, we’re going to try to answer that question, selecting five X-Men at a time from across the franchise’s long history, and pairing up your votes with the opinions of our own panel of highly opinionated X-Men fans. Your scores will be added to ours to determine the top 100 X-Men. This week, the greatest X-Man of all, the one-and-only (except not) Wolverine! Surely he'll get maximum points from our panel of judges? And in the other corner, one of the least loved X-Men of all time; Squid Boy. He probably won't score quite as highly.

Well, if this X-Men: Apocalypse rumor is correct (and it probably is), then consider this post a spoiler for the new trailer, which will reportedly arrive online after it premieres this week at Cinema-Con in Las Vegas. The spoiler-sensitive among you should probably turn back now.

Wolverine’s Personal Journals and Military Records Released
There were a lot of fake headlines and cutesy jokes floating around yesterday (April Fools’ Day, in case you were blissfully unaware), but you may have missed this one: Canada’s official library and archives released the personal journals and military records of one James “Logan” Howlett, better known to X-Men fans as Wolverine. Among the newly-”declassified” documents are some interesting facts about the famous mutant, including details on his time as a fur trader and a miner.

All-New All-Different: A Celebration of 'Giant-Size X-Men' #1
On this day in 1975, comics were changed forever. The book that changed everything? Giant-Size X-Men #1 by Len Wein and Dave Cockrum. The reason this book is so important? It's the first appearance of the X-Men. "But wait," you're saying, "the X-Men debuted in 1963's X-Men #1 by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby!" That is also true, but here's the thing about those X-Men: Nobody liked them very much, and there was nothing particularly special about them. Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Angel, Iceman, and Beast were students a prep school for mutants who fought goofy supervillains in between training sessions. They were a second-string Lee/Kirby creation at best.

‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Could Still Have a Wolverine Cameo
Hugh Jackman has been rumored to have a part — albeit probably small — in X-Men: Apocalypse for some time. Although the upcoming sequel to The Wolverine will be the actor’s final outing as the iconic X-Men character, there’s still a chance he could appear in Apocalypse, which closes out Bryan Singer’s current trilogy. In addition to maybe-sorta-kinda confirming Jackman’s part in Apocalypse, Singer talks the future of the franchise and his continued involvement in it.

Wolverine is Dead, Long Live Wolverine: The Case for Laura Kinney
There have been two Hawkeyes for years. Now there are two Spider-Men, and soon there will be two Captains America. There’s officially only one Thor, but there’s also this guy named Odinson who readers still like to call Thor, while referring to the real Thor as Lady Thor or similar. But there’s only one Wolverine, and her name is Laura Kinney. No disrespect to James “Logan” Howlett, the original Wolverine. He was a great character, but he lived a long life and then died. His elderly counterpart from another world is hanging around, but that guy has no interest in being Wolverine. So that leaves us with a new Wolverine, with countless stories ahead and lots of room to grow. Which is why I hope Logan never comes back. I don’t say that with animosity. I grew up with Logan as Wolverine, but his story is over, and I genuinely think that’s for the best.

While there are many different qualities that a colorist brings to a comic book, one of the most beneficial and subtle effects is the effect a good colorist can have on the line art, shaping a good artist into a great artist and a great artist's work into something transcendent. Unless you're consistently comparing the black & white original pages to the finished color versions, it can occasionally be difficult to accurately assess what a colorist is really doing to change the work. Thankfully, Nathan Fairbairn is not only one of the best collaborators in the comics industry, he also dedicates time to showing the color theory and thinking that goes into his process on his Tumblr; an indispensible resource for anyone interested in learning more about colorists and comics coloring.

All-New X-Men has quickly proven itself to be a fan-favorite title within the X-Books since it started last year, with Dennis Hopeless, Mark Bagley, Nolan Woodard and Cory Petit bringing together a team of young teen characters to valiantly surge forward through a world that hates and fears them. Despite having everything stacked against them, the cast have struck home with readers due to their determination to fight back and proudly stand up for who they are... and not what the world thinks they might be. Although characters like X-23, Beast, Cyclops, Iceman, Idie, and Angel all stand poised in the dark shadows of their past and possible futures, the series stands out as a more purely entertaining and character-driven series than anything else. It's fun, and a lot of that fun is down to the immediate creative synergy between Bagley and Hopeless. ComicsAlliance caught up with Hopeless to get a closer look at the unruly team of teen heroes he's assembled, and to get a glimpse into what awaits the characters over the next few months.
