Fans of great art who also dig Street Fighter, Final Fight, Mega Man, Strider, Resident EvilDarkstalkers, and othe Capcom video game franchises rejoice: Udon Entertainment, the studio behind much of the comics art revolving around those properties, is set to debut the 600-plus page Udon's Art of Capcom: Complete Edition during this year's Comic-Con International in San Diego.

The volume will collect 10 years of Capcom-related art, along with 75 pages of all-new artwork from games including Capcom Fighting Evolution, Tatsunoko vs Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars, and Super Street Fighter II HD Remix. And here's an important detail: The book will also include box art from various games, sprites, and toy designs.

An Udon press release states that the book is "monument to UDON and Capcom’s decade-long partnership in creating amazing artwork.”

Folks who attend Comic-Con July 24-27 may threaten their very sanity to do so, but they'll also have the opportunity to get Udon's Art of Capcom with a special wrap-around dust jacket by Udon's Joe Ng. So that seems like a pretty fair trade.

Udon has not yet revealed how much the volume will cost, but there's a good chance it'll be a sizable investment of well over $100. But hey, if you're dropping tons of money to go to Comic-Con anyway, what's another $125 or $150? And if you're not going to Comic-Con, hey, extra money in your pocket to buy this cool book, right?
