‘Wolverine 2′ Heading to Japan with ‘Usual Suspects’ Writer
One of the secret endings to the "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" movie featured Wolverine drinking at a bar in Japan, and now that the sequel is underway, actor Hugh Jackman has revealed that the next movie will indeed be heading overseas to follow Logan's adventures in Japan.
Wolverine has a long history with the Land of the Rising Sun in the comics, most notably the classic 1982 "Wolverine" miniseries by Chris Claremont and Frank Miller.
"I think the fans love that saga," Jackman said. "It's my favorite saga of the "Wolverine" stories. That's a movie I've longed to make from the beginning, so that's where we're heading."
"X-Men" and "The Usual Suspects" screenwriter Chris McQuarrie will be scripting the movie as well, all of which leads me to hope that the second movie will have much more to offer than the first.
