If you're like me, then your major concern about collectible representations of pop culture icons is that they cannot be used effectively as improvised weapons in the event of a Dracula attack. Don't get me wrong, I love my custom-made Randy Savage doll, but his huggable elbow drops will be all but useless when the hordes of the undead strike, and they will. Fortunately for me, artist Amanda Visell has come up with a solution: A set of beautifully designed, hand-painted "idols" of characters like Mario, Skeletor and Gizmo from Gremlins carved from wood!

Check out our favorites from Visell's awesome pieces -- each with its own custom-made box -- after the cut!

Voltron:

Skeletor:

Mario:

Gizmo:

E.T. (The Extra-Terrestrial):

Alice:

The Caterpillar:

The Mad Hatter:

The Cheshire Cat:

The White Rabbit:

Most of Visell's wooden idols have sold, but if you happen to have a spare $800 burning a hole in your pocket and a desire to complete your home decor with a hand-carved, hand-painted version of Voltron, head over to Switcheroo to check out the rest of her pretty amazing gallery.
