Following the retro-reveal of some of the first film's unused web-shooter designs, and the sequel's official Colm Feore and Paul Giamatti casting announcements, February's been a solid month when it comes to The Amazing Spider-Man 2 info. Keeping the trend going, director Marc Webb has posted a cryptic video hinting at a new -- or at least modified -- costume for everyone's favorite wall-crawling superhero. The video spotlights a new size and shape for one of Spidey's mask eyes, and based on Webb's hashtag #Thebettertoseeyouwith, it seems like the new costume will be incorporating more prominent peepers into the design.

The sequel costume's mask seems (we don't have a side-by-side comparison yet, of course) in line with what Webb Tweeted back in November, telling a fan the new suit would have "Bigger eyes. Gnarly web-shooters." While the eyes are bigger than before, it's unlikely the upcoming web-shooters will rival Japanese Spider-Man's bombastic Spider-Bracelet.

Based on the increasingly rapid rate of ASM2 info arriving online in anticipation of its May 2, 2014 release date, attentive fans can probably expect the full costume to be released in the coming months considering the first film's suit arrived in the pages of Entertainment Weekly roughly a full year ahead of the film's release.
