For the most part, Iron Man collectibles released in the time since the Marvel Cinematic Universe kicked the doors open on Iron Man fandom have been focused on the armored Avenger's silver screen persona. Comic and animated versions of the character have popped up, but by far the Hall of Armor from the films has hogged the spotlight. That's why it's genuinely exciting to see a whole new interpretation brought into the fold among the litany of repetitive Stark designs.

ResurrXion reveal week continues with the news that Jean Grey, the first solo comic for the teenage X-Man once known as Marvel Girl, will come to us next spring from the creative team of writer Dennis Hopeless and artist Victor Ibañez.

As she's grown in popularity, we've seen Squirrel Girl crop up in a number of comics outside of her own series. We still haven't gotten very many collectibles based on Marvel's most unbeatable hero, but that trend is starting to catch up to the printed page. She's already gotten a Funko figure, but next year she'll also get a more premium statue from Kotobukiya.

Avengers: Infinity War has already started filming, at least some preliminary test shots, but that doesn’t mean The Meetings have stopped. Bringing a multiple-volume comic arc this nuts to the big screen has got to be complicated, and with characters being added and replaced and showing up in the movie even if they weren’t in the comics, it’s going to take a lot of planning and redrafting to get the story down to two 2-hour (plus a little bit, probably) screenplays. This afternoon, Marvel co-president Louis D’Esposito posted a photo on Twitter today of one of the Infinity Gauntlet covers, hinting at some plot details for the upcoming movies.

Tom King and Gabriel Hernandez Walta's The Vision features a lot of quotation and repetition. Dialogue and scenes are reprised a few pages or issues later; objects that make a quick appearance in issue #1 play a vital role in the climax; dialogue is lifted directly from comics published nearly 50 years ago, and from plays published more than four centuries ago. These aren’t unusual techniques. They’re just examples of structurally sound storytelling, of how to make a book feel like an extension of the histories, real and fictional, of the world that it exists within.

On the big screen, being a superhero looks fun and thrilling — and maybe also sort of dangerous and painful, but mostly exciting. But behind the scenes, being a superhero involves some awkward stuff, like motion capture and clingy spandex costumes and weird accessories, all of which, with the help of countless hours of movie magic, somehow translates to looking incredibly badass. Thanks to this new video from the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming, you can catch a glimpse of some of the weirder work that goes into making Tom Holland’s Spidey look so darn cool.

The Marvel Universe is full of superhero teams, but when the United States of America is particularly threatened, there's one team dedicated to standing up for the nation: A.I.M. Yes, that's the same A.I.M. that made MODOK, but the super-science collective has already been revamped into a force for good in the pages of New Avengers, thanks to the efforts of Roberto DaCosta, aka Sunspot. And now Avengers Idea Mechanics (the New Avengers) is becoming American Intelligence Mechanics (the U.S.Avengers) for reasons that will only become clear in the series itself. If there's one truth about comic book toys, it's that there's never a shortage of Spider-Man figures in the wild to add to your collection. There are still a moon’s worth of details to sort out on Marvel’s The Inhumans TV series before a 2017 premiere, but IMAX may be looking to lock down a schedule early. Not only does the theater company have a projected date and runtime for the new series, we may also know its official ABC premiere date.
