You know, much as I love video games, I could probably stop paying attention to PAX East new the rest of the weekend and be content. Why? Twenty long years since the release of DuckTales 2 on NES and Game Boy, Capcom and WayForward (and Disney) have announced DuckTales Remastered. Set to arrive on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo's Wii U for roughly $15 sometime this summer, DTR is a "remastered and lovingly enhanced" version of the original 1989 DuckTales NES title... although with all new High-Definiation hand-drawn animation, expanded roles for characters like Launchpad, Huey, Dewey, Louie and Webby, and voice talent from much of the original DT animated cast, it seems like it could play as a practically new experience entirely. Capcom has teased further features as well, including remixed music, new controls, new explorable areas, a "Duckburg Museum," and even a swimmable money bin. With the DT Boom! Studios comic no more, this game should soothe a lot of souls who've been seeking more McDuck. Hit the jump to see the DuckTales Remastered trailer and official promo images.
