Marvel’s ‘Jessica Jones’ Goes Purple in Ominous First Clips
We’re just days away from the tense and terrifying premiere of Marvel’s Jessica Jones, but who needs to wait a whole for days for a purple shiver down your spine? David Tennant’s Kilgrave makes his presence known in the first Jessica Jones clips, and you’d like to watch them right now.
Our first full looks at the former Doctor Who star in the role of Marvel’s enigmatic “Purple Man” extends on a scene from the first trailer, in which Kilgrave casually gets himself invited into a lovely home, whammying its occupants to become his new hosts. The second pulls Tennant into the light a bit more, even amid a seedier element of Hell’s Kitchen.
So reads Marvel’s official Jessica Jones synopsis:
After a tragic ending to her short-lived super hero stint, Jessica Jones is rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases involving people with extraordinary abilities in New York City.
Premiering all 13 episodes on November 20, Marvel’s Jessica Jones features Krysten Ritter in the title role, along with Mike Colter as Luke Cage, Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth, and Rachael Taylor as Patsy “Hellcat” Walker. Run creatively by Melissa Rosenberg, the series also features in recurring roles Eka Darville as Jessica’s neighbor, Erin Moriarty as a client, and Wil Traval as a police officer, while Rosario Dawson has been confirmed to reprise her role as Claire Temple.
