The pages of Marvel comic books are filled with community-helping heroes, and now the publisher itself is taking a cue from its characters in an upcoming episode of ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition." This Sunday's episode features the Wagstaff family of Gainesville, Florida, who received a brand new home to replace their rotting abode for their work as the founders of a non-profit music school.

Marvel's contribution to the new home includes a super hero-themed bedroom for TJ, the comic book fan among the Wagstaff's four children. The room was created by designers from Marvel Entertainment and includes Marvel merchandise as well as an original piece of artwork by Todd Nauck featuring TJ alongside several members of The Avengers. The artwork will not only appear on the show, but also as the variant cover to "Superheroes" #1, which goes on sale April 14.

Known Black Bolt fan Gene Simmons and K.i.S.S. are also scheduled to appear on the show, expanding on the episode's super hero theme.

This kind of generosity may not have the same kinetic impact as say, Daredevil shattering a pickpocket's face with a high-kick, but I'm sure the remodeled room will be equally inspirational to TJ.

The episode airs Sunday, February 21 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
