One of the things that makes Paolo Rivera such an accomplished artist, and a favorite among many comic readers, is his ability to mix in elements from several of his artistic influences and interests in his work. That ability was on display once again this past week, as Mondo debuted a new print by Rivera that pays tribute to the EC Comics cover work of the legendary Wally Wood.

The print went up for sale to mark the end of Mondo's Tales From The Crypt gallery show in Austin, Texas, where the company makes its home. Along with Rivera's piece, Mondo also released a poster for a Jason Edmiston painting of Johnny Craig's notorious cover to Crime SuspenStories #22, known primarily for its use as evidence in the 1954 Senate subcommittee hearings on juvenile delinquency.

Both pieces went on sale on Friday. While the Edmiston poster quickly sold out, a few copies of the Rivera piece look to still be available as of this writing, but almost certainly won't be for long. To catch future Mondo sales, be sure to follow them on Twitter.
