I know that President's Day is over, but just like its neighboring holiday of Valentine's Day, is it fair to set aside just one day out of the year to honor our nation's greatest leaders? Maybe it is in some cases, but when it comes to a mechanized Theodore Roosevelt, exceptions should be made.

The always brilliant Jin Saotome (the custom toymaker behind this wonderful Deadpool mecha) has given the late President a big stick, alright. And by big stick, I mean a big missile held firmly in Roosevelt's crazy robot hand. Saotome calls this "The other Roosevelt," though such a name doesn't do this thing justice - this is pure patriotic perfection at its mechanical finest.

Saotome describes his Roosevelt reimagining thusly: "With the Axis forces' technological rebirth complete the war raged throughout the entire world. The Allies found themselves at a loss needing more powerful weapons, and leaders than before. The answer came in the form of a stout laugh and the clanking of steel, Teddy Roosevelt! The former President was out of retirement and equipped with the USA's latest battle suit and ready for a brand new hunt. His mission: to track down Hideki Tôjô who had been revived by the Axis powers and harvesting spinal fluid from his victims. With the 'Big Stick' in hand, Roosevelt was ready to throw one last bomb Tôjô's way!"

The only thing less impressive than the character's hilarious background is the figure's various origins including Dr. Henry Jones Senior, Cobra Commander, a Clone Wars Battle Droid and a Fox Sports Robot. I think it's safe to say that Saotome has done it again.
