The greatest metafictional mecha warrior that never existed is set to spring from Crayon Shin-chan and onto toy shelves this June as Cantam Robo (a.k.a. Kantam Robo/Quantam Robo" gets the Super Robot Chogokin treatment from Bandai.

A loving parody of Japan's most iconic robot heroes, Cantam Robo is equal parts Gigantor (Tetsujin 28-go), Mazinger Z, Mobile Suit Gundam and, well, Crayon Shin-chan. Cantam Robo is more mecha than mecha, even, by virtue of being a giant super robot piloted by an identical smaller version of itself.

Though the toy doesn't come with a full-sized Super Robot Chogokin Mazinger Z, it will come packaged with its own version of the rocket punch, along with two sets of swappable hand parts and a removable winged jetpack/deadly boomerang. It doesn't appear to come with its tiny pilot, but that's why we have imaginations. Glorious imaginations!

Preorder sites like Entertainment Earth currently have the figure available for $38.99. You can take a closer look at the Cantam Robo figure and its features below.
