Sideshow Collectibles, maker of the eminently cool and painfully desirable statures, figures and other high quality merchandise based on comics, films and video game characters, is auctioning off select merchandise to raise money for the Make-a-Wish Foundation. The company, which made everybody in the universe happy last week when it announced that it had obtained the license to manufacture DC Comics merchandise (like a beautiful Premium Format Joker figure), is hoping to raise $25,000 to grant wishes to five children in need.

One-of-a-kind items based on Marvel Comics, Hellboy, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Disney's Beauty and the Beast and more are available for bidding right now, and you can learn more about them below.Sideshow typically donates $5,000 annually to Make-a-Wish, which amounts to one wish for a child with a life-threatening condition. This year, the company is keen to go much further and help five sick kids. To that end, Sideshow is auctioning 11 one-of-a-kind items, many of which have been signed by the creators.

As a firm supporter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation's mission, Sideshow Collectibles President Greg Anzalone states, "We believe in the work that Make-A-Wish is doing, and we're proud to support them. The wishes that they grant are much more than just a fun couple of days to these kids and their families. Wishes allow these kids to set aside their struggle and live their dreams for a day – many times when days are limited."
