Sharon Carter, as played by Emily VanCamp, didn’t really have much to do in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. She’s ostensibly the love interest in the film, but she’s not the woman that Cap actually kisses in the movie (that would be Black Widow). The movie ends and Captain America still doesn’t know that she’s the niece of Peggy Carter. Luckily, despite the massive roster of superheroes in Captain America: Civil War, Sharon has much more to do. Despite her distinct lack of superpowers, she heads into battle, and even shares a moment of romance with Steve, which may disappoint Stucky fans who have imagined a world where Steve and Bucky are the ones in love. Ms. VanCamp had never heard of the world of internet slash fiction and the fictional gay adventures of Captain America and The Winter Soldier, so we introduced her to that world and talked about the future of Sharon Carter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I'll admit, I actually forgot the Marvel Collector Corps was doing a box on Captain America: Civil War once the Women of Power box for June was announced. I just looked right past this month and was eagerly anticipating June's box and the promise of Spider-Gwen, She-Hulk and Squirrel Girl having some kind of representation inside. But that's okay. I always knew the Black Widow was coming from Hot Toys. The company has never not released a Natasha figure since she first appeared in Iron Man 2. Though they haven't always been noteworthy figures, Hot Toys is nothing but consistent in its treatment of Black Widow. That's more than you can say about a number of its competitors.

Captain America: Civil War opens in theaters in just over a week and, to date, we’ve seen precious little footage of Spider-Man in action. Besides the “underoos” scene from the final trailer, Marvel has kept Spidey out of the spotlight, even erasing him from scenes that are in the commercials...

In a new German promo video for Captain America: Civil War, Bruhl — who plays the film’s villain, Baron Zemo — takes the actor occasionally known as Iron Man on a little tour of Berlin, stopping in a restaurant to treat his co-star to some authentic German food…including ping pong balls, for some reason.
