Can Dark Archery Beat Robot Spiders In 'The Dark Archer'?
My understanding of TV's Arrow comes largely from reading ComicsAlliance's weekly recaps. Because of that, I assumed that --- Flash and Legends of Tomorrow crossovers notwithstanding --- it wasn't the kind of show that really lent itself to battles against cybernetic spider monsters. Immortal assassins and hooded vigilantes, sure, but cyber-spiders? That's right out. But now, I have been proven wrong. In the next chapter of the digital-first Arrow: The Dark Archer comic, Malcolm Merlyn is going to be facing off against a reasonably terrifying giant mutant spider. And in case you didn't know, it's a story co-written by Carole E. Barrowman and John Barrowman, the former Doctor Who star who plays Merlyn on the show, and illustrated by Daniel Sampere.
