LEGO Batman was the unexpected standout star of 2014’s The LEGO Movie, Will Arnett voicing the character with the exact right blend of weird humor and inappropriate gravitas. Fans loved him so much that he’s getting his own movie, and those who have kept up with all the filmic Batman iterations of the past will be excited to hear the latest casting news: Billy Dee Williams, who played District Attorney Harvey Dent in Tim Burton’s Batman, will be voicing Two-Face in The LEGO Batman Movie.

Blind bag toys have been a huge market these past few years, and perhaps no brand knows this better than Lego. Since launching the blind bag minifigures back in 2010, Lego has had tremendous success with the collection, which has had 16 proper waves alongside special edition series like Disney and The Simpsons. Early next year, another special series will see Lego celebrate the launch of The Lego Batman Movie, and you might be surprised to see who's being packed inside.

When you have a movie that's based on a toy line that is in turn based on Batman, however, things are a little different, and with The Lego Batman Movie, being the only film that dares to show the Bat-Zeppelin, we're bound to get some pretty screen-accurate toys. And now that we've seen the latest trailer, we can take a look at two new sets!

Although just about every character in The LEGO Movie was delightful enough to deserve their own spinoff, only one truly warranted it: Will Arnett’s hilariously narcissistic Batman. The new trailer for The LEGO Batman Movie expands on what made that character so great, functioning as both a loving sendup and amazing satire of the iconic superhero. It’s kind of perfect.

One of the great things about The LEGO Movie is that the characters are so interesting that almost all of them could potentially warrant their own spinoff. That’s especially true in the case of Will Arnett’s Batman, who not only has decades of comic-book, film and television history to work with, but an entire sandbox of merchandise to go along with all of it — including an insane number of vehicles. You can see some of them in a new image from The LEGO Batman Movie, but we have to imagine that this photo barely scratches the surface.

There are few toys that get the creative juices flowing quite like Lego. Looking at them online gets the blood flowing to the right side of the brain, but seeing them in person is a whole different experience. I can appreciate the sets from publicity stills, but it isn't until I can take in all the nuance of the builds up close that the magic of Lego really hits home. Such was the case at New York Comic Con this past weekend, where the new DC Super Hero Girls and Lego Batman Movie sets were on full display for all the world to see.

Lego Dimensions, the toys-to-life game that has brought together franchises such as The A-Team, Harry Potter and Portal, is expanding even more next year as it welcomes two new franchises into the fold. One of them isn't too surprising, as the game will getting a major update based around the upcoming Lego Batman Movie. At the same time the game will introduce another franchise, as Michael Knight and KITT of Knight Rider join the fray.

Ever since everyone’s favorite orphan superhero celebrated his 75th birthday back in 2014, fans have kept Batman’s anniversary alive with a series of events and celebrations at comic book shops around the world. If it caught you by surprise this year  —  and don’t worry, I had no idea of the significance of today until about two hours ago  —  now might be a great time to circle September 17, 2017 on your calendar so you can do it up right next year.

To be honest, we were already sold on The LEGO Batman Movie based on the hilarious teaser alone, but after getting our first look at The Joker and Robin (and Harley Quinn!) earlier this week, we’ve been looking forward to watching a full trailer for the mini-Dark Knight’s animated adventure. And now that trailer has officially arrived, giving us a better sneak peek at The LEGO Movie spinoff starring Will Arnett’s delightfully narcissistic Batman.

In addition to a fantastic new poster for Wonder Woman, Warner Bros. has also revealed another teaser poster for The LEGO Batman Movie, which will join Gal Gadot’s standalone film at Comic-Con tomorrow — along with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Kong: Skull Island and more. Although the latest poster for the animated Dark Knight’s new spinoff film is a little misleading, it’s still pretty cool.
