Vertigo Gives A First Look At Chris Roberson and Mike Allred’s ‘I, Zombie!’
The Halloween-minded may still have a month ahead of them before heading out to trick-or-treat, but Vertigo's "House of Mystery Halloween Annual" seems to have what readers are looking for in terms of autumnal comic eye-candy.
Vertigo's Graphic Content blog has a look at two stories from the issue, including
Mark Buckingham's "House of Mystery" tale and a story featuring the debut of Chris Roberson and Mike Allred's cast from their current "I, Zombie!" comic.
The plot by Roberson seems right up Allred's alley, starring Gwendolyn Dylan, a girl detective who just happens to be undead. If her "Shaun of the Dead" costume is any indication, she seems to have a healthy sense of irony.
Readers can get a full helping of Gwen and friends when the 48-page special drops on Oct. 14.
