There are big changes in store for the world of Spider-Man, with the recent news that the "Brand New Day" stories will soon going to give way to "Big Time" in November, as "Amazing Spider-Man" switches to a 30-page bi-weekly book written by Dan Slott where the currently unemployed Peter Parker find himself a career.

ComicsAlliance caught up with Slott in San Diego -- as a promotional plane circled endlessly above -- to talk about why it's time for Peter Parker to step up and share his genius with the world, why the web-slinger always be an underdog, and why writing Spider-Man is pretty much the greatest job ever.
