This year's Will Eisner Comic Industry Award winners were announced last evening at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel during San Diego Comic-Con International. Eisners were awarded across more than 30 categories, honoring creators, editors, journalists and retailers alike. Some highlights include Marvel's Daredevil taking home multiple awards for Best Continuing Series and Best Single Issue (and contributing in part to Mark Waid winning the award for Best Writer). Archaia's A Tale of Sand won big with awards for artist Ramón K. Pérez in the Best Graphic Album and Best Penciller/Inker or Penciller/Inker Team categories, with book designer Eric Skillman winning Best Publication Design. Darwyn Cooke's Richard Stark's Parker: The Martini Edition also won twice in the Best Short Story and Best Graphic Album Reprint categories.
